Dr. Dodson graduated from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, with degrees in psychology, industrial technology, and biology. He completed his medical school training at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and pursued his pediatric residency at Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.
Currently, Dr. Dodson is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP,) the American Osteopathic Association (AOA,) the American Medical Association (AMA,) the Iowa Medical Society (IMS,) the Iowa Osteopathic Medical Association (IOMA,) and the Wapello County Medical Society.
Additionally, Dr. Dodson has served as Chief of Staff and board member of Ottumwa Regional Health Center. In his spare time, he is an avid gamer with his children. Dr. Dodson loves to boat in the summer and get involved with anything at the YMCA during the winter months.
